Find an intelligent way for configure.in on OS X to detect when Fink,
MacPorts etc packages need to be used, and add them to the relevant
search paths. See discussion in http://debbugs.gnu.org/2280 .

This bug report is empty... is this an error in the bug tracker or was
the description of the bug never submitted?

It's not empty. It's presumably an error in whatever mechanism you are
using to read the reports. I assume it ignores "quiet" messages.
See the web version https://debbugs.gnu.org/11507 .

It's not included in the output from this command:

curl "https://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/bugreport.cgi?bug=11507;mboxmaint=yes;mboxstat=yes"

So it that a bug in the bug tracker?

I imagine mboxmaint shows the mails as received by the maintainer
address, and quiet- messages aren't.

https://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/bugreport.cgi?bug=11507;mbox=yes

contains it.

But that one doesn't contain the status "mail", which is useful
sometimes.

Where do the quiet- messages originate from?
