[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
(setq mouse-highlight nil)

The pointer will retain it's shape, whichever it was at the time the
variable was set, while in the frame. New frames will have a pointer mouse,
that will also never change.
[Message part 2 (text/html, inline)]
