3. C-h f set-temporary-overlay-map RET

I would expect something like the attached screenshot shown up i.e. with
vertical bars in the fringe. But no vertical bars are shown.

What is centered-vertical-bar in the display spec used by
temp-buffer-browse-mode?  Does it work if you replace it with
vertical-bar (which is a known fringe bitmap)?

Thanks. Didn't realise using a non-standard bitmap. Now fixed.
