Subject: 23.3; Incorrect syntax table entry for character '%' in Fortran and
	F90 modes

This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.

Your report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs <at> gnu.org mailing list
and the gnu.emacs.bug news group, and at http://debbugs.gnu.org.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug. If you can, give
a recipe starting from `emacs -Q':

In a Fortran or F90 buffer, the character '%' which denotes a type
component or type-bound procedure in the Fortran language is not
recognized as a word boundary in word motion, e.g. typing abc%def%ghi
followed by M-b (backward-word) moves point to the 'a' not to the 'g'.

This is in contrast to C++, where typing abc.def.ghi, then M-b has the
expected result of moving point to the 'g'.

The character '%' should be treated like other punctuation characters
in the Fortran/F90 syntax tables.

If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
    `bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
For information about debugging Emacs, please read the file
c:/Program Files/emacs-23.3/etc/DEBUG.
