Drag a file on to emacs window, nothing happens, I'm at a loss as to
what else to include, there is no crash.

Which Fedora version?  What are you dragging from?  Does the cursor change 
when it is over Emacs?

Fedora 15, gnome 3.
Dragging from from nautilus, the cursor lacks the plus sign which indicates 
you can drop it over emacs, so no, the cursor does not change when over 
emacs.

Checked with emacs 23.2.1 and other programs, works fine there.
