Emacs bug statistics 2008-2017

Some statistics extracted from ten years of Emacs bug reports.
These figures only tell us who is reporting bugs (and including the template information); not who is using Emacs.
In each year, each unique email address reporting bugs is only counted once.
Relevant quantities are not always present in the reports.
Percentages are relative to total number of unique bug reporters.
Ie, there is always a large implicit "unknown" percentage.
Rarer values are not plotted; see emacs-devel post.

Number of reports

This shows the number of reports each year, counting each unique submitter email once. (So quite different to the total number of reports.)
It also shows the number of those reports where we could identify the major version and architecture triplet, the system description, and configured features. The latter two were only added to reports in 2012 and 2014. The system description relies (or did until recently) on an external tool (lsb_release), and seems to have plateaued.

System Distribution

We only started recording the system distribution (from lsb_release -d) a few years ago.
So there is no meaningful time evolution in these data, it's just an artefact of the data collection.
