Subject: Make net/rlogin.el obsolete

Severity: wishlist

I guess net/rlogin.el should be obsoleted. It has a pretty bad name (no
one uses rlogin these days) and seems to add nothing useful over
e.g. `M-x shell RET ssh <foo>'.

See this comment at the top of that file:

    ;; FIXME?
;; Maybe this file should be obsolete.

Yes, I agree -- it should be obsoleted.

How about we just remove it? I know it defaults to using ssh these
days, but we just shouldnʼt mention the r* commands anywhere.

Obsoletion is a nice process -- it avoids breaking people's .emacs files
in the unlikely case they're using rlogin.el.

We don't remove stuff before we obsolete it and let users adapt
themselves (or holler).

Does this hold also for e.g. (info "(tramp) Overview") ?

I've removed some references in commit 050252043f but there are more
references to remove if anyone wants to take a look.
