When generating a preview for a latex file lots of different files are
generated in the containing directory. If any of these files is missing
on a later call to preview-latex, it doesn't regenerate them but fails
(semi-silently).

To reproduce:

Load any latex file with some math to preview. Preferably do this in a
folder where there is nothing else.

1)Generate a preview using
   preview-document or preview-at-point or preview-environment

2) All previews appear correctly

3) Now delete all files from the folder except the original .tex file

4) Remove all preview using
 preview-clearout-document

5) Try to regenerate previews in any way:
preview-document or peview-at-point or preview-environment

6) Watch preview generation FAIL! with

error in process sentinel: LaTeX found no preview images


I am attaching a minimal TeX example file


P.S. Actually the behavior after 5 is VERY different then the behavior
after 1).

Suppose that the file is called 00basic-art.tex
preview-document usually generates the following files:

00basic-art.log  00basic-art.prv/  prv_00basic-art.fmt  prv_00basic-art.l=
og

After deleting (after point 4) preview document generates the files

00basic-art.aux  00basic-art.log  00basic-art.pdf
