(info "(emacs) Fonts") says

   By default, Emacs displays text on graphical displays using a 10-point
   monospace font.  There are several different ways to specify a different
   font:

OK but perhaps right there below this mention (info "(emacs) Text
Scale") as that is the simplest most fastest way to perhaps do what the
user wants.

Makes sense.  I've now added this to the trunk.
