The problem has been thoroughly described on stack-overflow: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/55407034/how-to-find-c-sharp-class-names-with-regex <https://stackoverflow.com/questions/55407034/how-to-find-c-sharp-class-names-with-regex?noredirect=1#comment97578340_55407034> Full Disclosure: On stack-overflow, pretty much the only responses I got were criticisms of what I was trying to do or my choice of grep to do it. Then, 5 people banded together to label my post as "On Hold", with the explanation: "Please edit the question to limit it to a specific problem with enough detail to identify an adequate answer. Avoid asking multiple distinct questions at once." In my view, I did my best to ask a detailed, limited question about how to get grep to work or what I was doing wrong in my use of grep. They offered suggestions that failed to work and then became offended with me for pointing this out to them. Please take a look at my question and let me know if you can help me. If it turns out that you feel my question was indeed inappropriate, I would appreciate any effort to explain it to me. thanks, Todd Hoatson -- Todd Hoatson Mobile: 763-291-3312 Email: todd.hoatson@HIDDEN www.linkedin.com/in/toddhoatson --00000000000083410e0585528993 Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"ltr"><div class=3D"gmail_quote"><div dir=3D"ltr"><div dir=3D"lt= r"><div dir=3D"ltr"><div dir=3D"ltr">Hi, I have run into problems when tryi= ng to use GNU grep for (what I thought would be) a fairly straight-forward = text-search task.<br></div><div dir=3D"ltr"><br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">The = problem has been thoroughly described on stack-overflow:<br clear=3D"all"><= a href=3D"https://stackoverflow.com/questions/55407034/how-to-find-c-sharp-= class-names-with-regex?noredirect=3D1#comment97578340_55407034" target=3D"_= blank">https://stackoverflow.com/questions/55407034/how-to-find-c-sharp-cla= ss-names-with-regex</a></div><div dir=3D"ltr"><br></div><div dir=3D"ltr">Fu= ll Disclosure:=C2=A0 On stack-overflow, pretty much the only responses I go= t were criticisms of what I was trying to do or my choice of grep to do it.= =C2=A0 Then, 5 people banded together to label my post as "On Hold&quo= t;, with the explanation:=C2=A0 "<span style=3D"text-align:left;color:= rgb(36,39,41);text-transform:none;line-height:inherit;text-indent:0px;lette= r-spacing:normal;font-family:inherit;font-size:13px;font-style:inherit;font= -variant:inherit;font-weight:inherit;text-decoration:none;word-spacing:0px;= display:inline;white-space:normal;font-size-adjust:none;font-stretch:inheri= t;float:none;background-color:rgb(255,247,229)">Please edit the question to= limit it to a specific problem with enough detail to identify an adequate = answer.
