Subject: new unit "aligned blocks"?
Date: Sat, 30 May 2020 07:49:31 +0200
Hi folks,

looking at #41577 I wonder if it would be possible to introduce a
unit "aligned blocks" to create partitions with a proper alignement
(using alignment_offset and optimal_io_size)?

# parted /dev/sda -a optimal
:
(parted) u s p
Model: somedisk
Disk /dev/sda: 500118192s
Offset: 1536s
Block size: 2048s
:
:
(parted) mkpart root 0a 16383a
(parted) p
:
Number Start End Size File system Name Flags
 1 1536s 132607s 131072s root

Just a suggestion, of course.

Regards
Harri
