I recently got the opportunity to play with the Budgie desktop
environment:

I liked it:

=2D It feels familiar enough for macOS / Windows users.
=2D It has modern UI features, such as arrow/mouse-based manual tiling and
  ubiquitous search.
=2D It's rather lightweight.
=2D It's snappy in that all buttons prompt an action instantly (on my
  machine at least).

I think it would be a nice addition to Guix :)
