Message #5 received at submit <at> debbugs.gnu.org (full text, mbox):
How to reproduce in emacs -Q:
Enter the following code in a buffer under cperl-mode:
--------------------------
package Foo {
sub bar { ...; }
}
sub baz { ...; }
--------------------------
Then mark the whole buffer and run M-x indent-buffer.
"sub baz" gets indented, as if in a continued statement.
Also, in imenu, sub bar is not attributed to package Foo.
Background: As of Perl 5.14, the package declaration can have the syntax
"package NAME BLOCK" (as in this example) and also "package NAME VERSION
BLOCK", where VERSION is a stringified Perl version object. In
addition, after the end of the block (sub baz in the example above), the
package from before package Foo is valid again.
I don't have a comprehensive patch ready.
