Start emacs, run 'start-server', start emacsclient <file> and see
emacsclient: Invalid socket owner

Digging deeper, in lib-src/emacsclient.c after
    if (fstat (s, &connect_stat) != 0)
    connect_stat.st_uid is 0 but uid is 1000

To be clear, the socket in the file system looks fine:

add socket info for user and group for unix sockets in fstat.


To generate a diff of this commit:

Thanks for updating the issue.

Since this has been fixed in the upcoming version of NetBSD, it doesn't
sound worth it to do anything about this on the Emacs side, so I'm
closing this bug report.  If anybody thinks otherwise, please feel free
to reopen again.
