[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
contributing.texi contains:

@pxref{submitting patches,, Submitting patches to a project, git, Git User Manual}).

However, there is no 'git' info manual. I guess the ', git,' should
be replaced by ',,' or something like that to avoid implying there's
a git info page?

Greetings,
Maxime.

I think there used to be one; could it be that we’re no longer building
it?

Indeed, support for it was contributed by David Kastrup in 2007 [0]. It
seems we should be running 'make install-info' explicitly. Perl is
needed, unless that bit changed.

Fixed in 245ddc255a on core-updates.

The info node name was also wrong, that was fixed on master with
5ecbf5b1637762281992befec7fa53f966e5d0b1. Note to attentive readers,
you'll only see the final (working) info link on core-updates or after
the next merge of it into master.

Thanks,

Maxim
