28.1; Marking a file in an image dired buffer marks all the files

If I invoke "image-dired" on a folder with images, and then try to navigate through the files, if I select any file with `m' or with `d' ALL files in the image buffer are marked.

Would it be possible to try this in Emacs 29 (aka the "master" branch)
and see if the problem is still present there?  image-dired has been
substantially rewritten lately.
