Try this:

0. emacs -Q
1. M-x eww RET eff.org RET
2. Scroll down until some image is visible
3. C-x C-+

Note that the images stay the same size.  I would want the images to
increase in size together with the text, similarly to how they would in
a browser like Firefox.

Such a feature would be handy on pages where there is more than one
image.  It should probably be customizable though.

Makes sense.  I've now done this in Emacs 29.
