Message #5 received at submit <at> debbugs.gnu.org (full text, mbox):
Running renpy-launcher and trying to create a new project fails
with error "The selected projects directory is not writable"
Trying to change the projects directory in preferences fails
with the same error.
Setting the projects directory using the renpy build from the
renpy website allows renpy-launcher to work as required.

As a workaround you can use the command line interface and the launcher
game to set the projects directory.
For example:
renpy-launcher set_projects_directory ~/projects/
Unfortunately the configuration data is effectively the save game data
for the launcher game, so I don't think it is possible to manage the
data reliably as part of the system configuration.
