I write this to submit an issue i came accross recently about the use of or= ca screen reader.Though a bug (at least to a normal user like me, it is a b= ug) might seem annoying to you and such fix on a single package is neither = prior nor urgent to handle with, I wish such unhappiness won't spread to ot= hers who need a screen reader to function because of poor eyesight(like me)= or blindness. Here is how I came accross it: First, I download the .qcow2 file from the main website and transferred it = to .vdi with qemu-img on my windows pc. Then, I loaded the .vdi file in VirtualBox.It booted successfully into a cl= ean xfce window manager. After that, I tried the icons and panels they functioned well.I opened the = terminal emulator at the bottom of screen and typed in: >guix install gcc #it worked well and gcc command is ok after that >guix install icecat #it functioned as expected too >guix install emacs #fine as well >guix install orca #it smoothly 'installed' Finally, I typed: >orca #it returned a Traceback of file .../bin/.orca-real followed with <from orca import debug<MODULENOTFOUNDERROR: module "orca" not found I tried orca -s / remove and install again / restart , doesn;t work :( Please fix it or add more detail on how to set it up in the orca package pa= ge:) Best wishes to you! --=20 =E5=B7=B2=E9=80=9A=E8=BF=87Tuta =E5=AE=89=E5=85=A8=E5=8F=91=E9=80=81=EF=BC= =8C=E7=AB=8B=E5=8D=B3=E6=B3=A8=E5=86=8C=E6=82=A8=E7=9A=84=E5=8A=A0=E5=AF=86= =E6=97=A0=E5=B9=BF=E5=91=8A=E9=82=AE=E7=AE=B1=EF=BC=81=20 https://tuta.com ------=_Part_42693_490114766.1703737434253 Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html> <head> <meta http-equiv=3D"content-type" content=3D"text/html; charset=3DUTF-8= "> </head> <body> <div>Dear maintainers,</div><div dir=3D"auto">Highly appreciate your work o= n completely free(libre) distribution!<br></div><div dir=3D"auto">I write t= his to submit an issue i came accross recently about the use of orca screen= reader.Though a bug (at least to a normal user like me, it is a bug) might= seem annoying to you and such fix on a single package is neither prior nor= urgent to handle with, I wish such unhappiness won't spread to others who = need a screen reader to function because of poor eyesight(like me) or blind= ness.<br></div><div dir=3D"auto">Here is how I came accross it:<br></div><d= iv dir=3D"auto">First, I download the .qcow2 file from the main website and= transferred it to .vdi with qemu-img on my windows pc.<br></div><div dir= =3D"auto">Then, I loaded the .vdi file in VirtualBox.It booted successfully= into a clean xfce window manager.<br></div><div dir=3D"auto">After that, I= tried the icons and panels they functioned well.I opened the terminal emul= ator at the bottom of screen and typed in:<br></div><div dir=3D"auto">>g= uix install gcc #it worked well and gcc command is ok after that<br></div><= div dir=3D"auto">>guix install icecat #it functioned as expected too<br>= </div><div dir=3D"auto">>guix install emacs #fine as well<br></div><div = dir=3D"auto">>guix install orca #it smoothly 'installed'<br></div><div d= ir=3D"auto">Finally, I typed:<br></div><div dir=3D"auto">>orca #it retur= ned a Traceback of file .../bin/.orca-real followed with<br></div><div dir= =3D"auto"><from orca import debug</div><div dir=3D"auto"><MODULENOTFO= UNDERROR: module "orca" not found<br></div><div dir=3D"auto">I tried orca -= s / remove and install again / restart , doesn;t work :(<br></div><div dir= =3D"auto">Please fix it or add more detail on how to set it up in the orca = package page:)<br></div><div dir=3D"auto">Best wishes to you!<br></div><div= ><br></div><div>-- <br></div><div> =E5=B7=B2=E9=80=9A=E8=BF=87Tuta =E5=AE= =89=E5=85=A8=E5=8F=91=E9=80=81=EF=BC=8C=E7=AB=8B=E5=8D=B3=E6=B3=A8=E5=86=8C= =E6=82=A8=E7=9A=84=E5=8A=A0=E5=AF=86=E6=97=A0=E5=B9=BF=E5=91=8A=E9=82=AE=E7= =AE=B1=EF=BC=81 <br></div><div> https://tuta.com<br></div> </body> </html> ------=_Part_42693_490114766.1703737434253--
