Apologies I left this out last night, in the Introduction to Programming in
Emacs Lisp .On the Preface section , title a note to a novice. The
indent-region key chord is switch.

ie, second paragraph, last sentence

But usually ‘M-C-\’ means press the <CTRL> key along with the key that is
labeled <ALT> and, at the same time, press the ‘\’ key.
