Checking view-lossage tell me that I had hit
> sgml-tags-invisible is an interactive native-comp-function in
> ‘sgml-mode.el’.

Sure I now have disabled it in my .emacs,
(info "(emacs) Disabling")
But maybe it should be disabled (for everybody) by default.
