Message #5 received at submit <at> debbugs.gnu.org (full text, mbox):
[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Hello Emacs developers,
I would like to suggest an accessibility improvement to the built-in theme
`tsdh-dark`.
Environment:
- Emacs version: 29.4 (macOS port)
- Operating system: macOS 15.7
Currently, this theme uses thin red borders in some places, such as:
- the navigation header area when reading Info documentation, and
- the mode line at the bottom of the window.
For people like me who have eye floaters or sensitivity to sharp red lines,
these thin red borders can cause visual artifacts such as ghosting or
double images, which makes reading uncomfortable.
My suggestion is to provide an option (or to adjust the default) to use a
neutral grayscale color for these borders instead of red. A gray tone would
improve readability while keeping the visual distinction.
I believe this change would make `tsdh-dark` more comfortable for users
with similar visual sensitivities, without affecting the overall style of
the theme.
Thank you very much for considering this improvement.
Best regards,
Yuan
