Hi,

We are using GnuWin32: CoreUtils 5.3.0 versions in our project, so
requesting you to know whether the technical support is still giving for
these versions, so that we will plan our project to use the latest version
of GnuWin32: CoreUtils.

Kindly feel free & revert me ASAP.

Thanks!!!

Regard's,
Ravinder. P.

This site does not maintain GnuWin32. You'll have to ask the GnuWin32
folks how long they plan to support something, and I doubt that anyone
working on GnuWin32 reads this list. As such, I'm closing this issue in
the upstream coreutils bug database, as it is not an upstream bug, so
much as a support question to your choice of vendor, which should
therefore be directed to your vendor.

As it is, 5.3.0 is ancient, compared to current upstream 8.27. Using
software that is more than 12 years old is rather risky on your part,
since even some of the longest Enterprise contracts you can purchase
tend not to last that long. So if I had to guess, I'd state that
GnuWin32 is unsupported.

"revert me" doesn't make much sense; did you mean "reply to me"?

You have the official upstream site, but NOT the official GnuWin32 site.
As I already mentioned, if you want to know how long GnuWin32 is
supported, you'll have to ask the GnuWin32 people, since they are a
downstream distribution. We do not maintain GnuWin32 here upstream.

A quick google search:
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=gnuwin32
shows GnuWin32 (used to?) live here:
http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/

The last update to that page was in 2010. In all likelihood, that means
it is no longer being maintained, and if so, that probably answers your
question - there is NO technical support for coreutils 5.3.0 binaries
obtained from the GnuWin32 folks, either from us at upstream (because we
don't care about releases that old here, only the current latest
release), or from the GnuWin32 folks (because they don't care enough
about their product to keep it up to date).

Thanks for your reply Eric,

As I seen coreutils <at> gnu.org contact information we have in the official gnu
site. So please provide any contact information for supporting GnuWin32:
CoreUtils 5.3.0.

Thanks In Advance,

Regards,
Ravinder. P.

I'm afraid you're not going to get any additional help from this list
beyond the answers you've already been given, because we don't have any
further answers:
http://debbugs.gnu.org/28224

Repeatedly asking the wrong list, when you've already been told it is
the wrong list, and when you have already been pointed to the website of
the downstream GnuWin32 distribution that you should be asking instead,
is not winning you any friends.
